Earth Day
Earth Day on 22nd April is more than just one day of the year for us all at t’works. We’re working hard to make sure that we always have Earth Day in mind and that we’re doing as much as we can to protect the planet.
All our colleagues are engaged in reducing our carbon footprint where possible. Many of us now cycle or walk to work (if we’re not WFH) and the mantra ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ is part of our everyday thinking. We’re practically allergic to printing documents and prefer digital to paper whenever feasible. Our lighting is dimmed when appropriate and if the sun is shining, we turn it off altogether. It goes without saying that single use plastic is a no-go – you won’t catch us without our own reusable coffee cups!
Every organisation should be implementing these small measures to help our planet survive. It’s no longer a question of if the climate emergency exists but what we’re all doing to stop it. We need to act now.
