Senior Project Manager/Team Lead (m/f/d)
ASI, a t’works company, is one of Austria’s leading language service providers, supplying large multinational corporations, government agencies, NGOs, communication agencies and major law firms with cutting-edge language services. We are currently looking to enhance our team of project managers.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications/skills
- At least three years’ experience as a project manager, ideally at a translation agency
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and strong work ethic
- Creative and forward-thinking mindset
- Service-mindedness, meticulousness and hands-on mentality
- Ability to prioritise and meet – often tight and conflicting – deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and unwavering commitment to ensure top-notch quality
- Fluency in German and English
- Advanced knowledge of CAT tools (memoQ/Trados)
- Expertise in NMT and other language technologies/tools would be an advantage
- Affinity towards all things IT
- Language or business degree, or vocational training in a comparable field
Tasks
- Managing translation and other language projects in a targeted and profit-oriented manner
- Building on and enlarging service portfolio for assigned clients
- Managing language resources (e.g. translation memories, glossaries) and providing project-specific instructions to external language experts/translators as well as team members
- Choosing and coordinating (teams of) linguists for each project as well as providing support to them
- Acting as point person for all parties involved in a project (translators, editors, proofreaders, in-country client reviewers, type-setters, graphic designers, clients, etc.)
- Liaising with group COO and channelling information to colleagues
- Engaging in an active exchange to improve usage of project management applications
- Negotiating and meeting deadlines
- Negotiating rates on an as-needed basis
- Maintaining accurate records of all services rendered and the costs thereof
- Ensuring accurate project controlling
- Regular reporting to management
